2”x 6”x 10’ – Ten pieces
Take two 2 x 6 x 10’ pieces. From each of these two 2 x 6 x 10’ pieces cut a bed rail (M1-03) and ladder rung (M1-01) from each one. You now have two bed rails & two ladder rungs. Next take two 2 x 6 x 10’ pieces and cut a brace (M1-06) and ladder rung (M1-01) from each one. You now have two braces and two more ladder rungs. Now take four 2 x 6 x 10’ pieces. From each of these four 2 x 6 x 10’ pieces cut a corner post (M1-02) and a ladder rung (M1-01) from each one. You now have four corner posts (M1-02) and four more ladder rungs (M1-01). Take the remaining two 2 x 6 x 10’ pieces and cut three ladder rung pieces (M1-01) from each one. You now have six more ladder rungs (M1-01).
You now have a total of two bed rails (M1-03), two braces (M1-06), four corner posts (M1-02), and fourteen ladder rungs (M1-01).
2”x 4”x 10’ – Seven pieces
Take four of the straightest/absolute best looking 2 x 4 x 10’ pieces. From each of these cut a 76-1/2” safety rail piece (SR) and a bed slat (SLT). You now have four of the 76-1/2” safety rail pieces (SR) and four twin bed slats (SLT). Then take the remaining three 2 x 4 x 10’ pieces and cut three twin bed slats (SLT) from each one. You now have nine more twin bed slats (SLT).
You now have a total of four 2 x 4 x 76-1/2” safety rail pieces (SR) and thirteen twin bed slats (SLT). Because you only need twelve twin bed slats, you may want to use the remaining twin bed slat to cut the 2-1/2” pieces as outlined in the “Safety Rails” section of the manual.
1”x 4”x 8’ – One piece
Take this 1 x 4 x 8’ piece, cut six 15” safety rail pieces (SR) as outlined in the “Safety Rails” section of the manual. Only four pieces are needed, save the remaining two for the next one.
2”x 2” x 8’ – Three pieces
Take the 2 x 2 x 8’ pieces. From each of these 2 x 2 x 8’ pieces cut a bed rail cleat (CL-01) from each one. Next cut two 29-1/2” pieces for the desk supports. You now have two bed rail cleats (CL-01) and two desk supports.
